IKEA is hiring Nightshift Warehouse Operatives to join our busy and supportive team in Manchester. This is a fantastic part-time opportunity (20 hours per week) for individuals who enjoy working in a structured environment and are motivated to deliver accuracy, efficiency, and quality during night operations.

In this role, you will play a key part in keeping warehouse processes running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for prioritising and organising workloads with attention to detail, ensuring products are handled, stored, and prepared effectively. Experience in using technical equipment to improve productivity and efficiency is an advantage, though not essential if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Join our efficient team as a Warehouse Operative, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our store. WHAT WE OFFER

  • The Start Date of employment will be: 27th October 2025
  • This role offers an hourly rate of £12.60. Plus a Nightshift allowance of £2.25 per hour for hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
  • Part Time: 20 Hours working 5 nights per week including alternate weekends. This role is working early mornings starting at either 4am or 6am.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
  • Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • You are prepared to act on your own initiative and to participate in group efforts.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Effectively perform the role in the assigned area of responsibility, which includes, manual handling of heavy stock, receiving and replenishing goods with accuracy, picking and packing and keeping accurate records of stock levels.
  • Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
  • You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
